Given that Katherine Hepburn is Katherine freaking Hepburn, “The Philadelphia Story” is probably her best film, which really is big praise! Hepburn is joined by several of Hollywood’s most well-known actors in “The Philadelphia Story,” including Jimmy Stewart, Cary Grant, and others, who elevate an already fantastic film to greater levels. Because many of the jokes in the film are now antiquated, it can occasionally be over the top. The romance that drives this comedy film more than compensates for it, though, as Katherine Hepburn’s heroine cannot pick between three men as her marriage day draws closer.
