About KC

When I was thirteen years old, I came across a showing of Dark Victory (1939) on TV. The movie was sort of funny looking (it turns out it was colorized), but even though Bette Davis’ lips were an odd raisin color, I was instantly drawn to her.

I began to search out more movies on TV and in those great old neighborhood video stores that are nearly gone today. Then I started devouring books about Hollywood and watching great flicks at revival theaters. Discovering intriguing personalities and  movies over the years has been endlessly fascinating.

Though the movies I love most were made in a specific time frame (around the time silents began to the days when the studio era came to an end), I never fail to find something new to love, be it a movie, star or backstage story. This blog is a place where I can share those discoveries.
