You can read this 1934 article from Movie Classic magazine to check out a slightly condescending article about Katharine Hepburn's "movie spankings" or you can obsess over the random soap ad with multiple references to "B.O." like I did. I didn't know they used that term in the 30s--Slate

This is one of my favorite stories from the new Ava Gardner book. I love how she had so many great gal pals: Grace Kelly, Lena Horne, Lana Turner...I'm sure I'm missing many more--Warner Archive Tumblr

A recent interview with Terence Stamp. This guy gets cooler every year--AV Club

I've had a copy of A Song in the Dark since last Christmas, and this review by Ms. Raquelle has finally convinced me to put it at the top of my reading pile--Out of the Past

This is an interesting conversation with Dominic West and Helena Bonham Carter about their roles as Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton in a new BBC movie. They're both such intelligent, lively people. I like how they don't take themselves too seriously--The Guardian

Congratulations to Laura of Laura's Miscellaneous Musings who is celebrating her 8th Blogaversary. I'm in awe of her ability to post high quality content with such frequency and regularity. One of the best classic movie blogs ever!--Laura's Miscellaneous Musings

These memories from minor players in Cleopatra (1963) are so funny. Whenever I see a movie with a huge cast like that, I think about how every one of those people has a different story to tell about working on that film--The Guardian

A film historian has discovered previously unseen footage from Buster Keaton's The Blacksmith (1922). I always find archival discoveries so exciting. It makes me wonder what else is out there:

How did someone who follows AV Club as religiously as I do missed the Stamp article?! Thank you so much for posting that link (and all the links of course, as always)!

Hi Laura! I know exactly what you're talking about. That's partly why I like doing the links. I'm not getting everything, but I catch a lot more great stuff than I would I were reading more casually.

Thanks for the link! I've heard from a few folks that they either had A Song in the Dark or it was on their wishlist. I'm glad my review brought a bit of interest in the book. It's wonderful! And you've been doing a wonderful job with your book reviews. Keep up the good work! :-)

I actually bought the book because of another glowing review, so I don't know why I haven't gotten around to reading it. I suppose I always do that with books I own. I still need to read my Loy autobiography. Someone needs to give us another day in the week for reading! Thanks so much for your support of my book reviews. It's become a bit of an obsession, but a happy one.
