Classic Links

I've been obsessed with the poster for The Come On (1956) for a long time. Never thought of actually seeing the movie, because I figured it couldn't possibly be as good as it looks, but I might have to give it a shot after reading this--Where Danger Lives

A lovely gallery of remarkably candid Vivien Leigh shots, taken by her beaux Jack Merivale late in her life. I especially love the pics with Noel Coward and her cat Poo Jones, and one of a gorgeous Leigh without make up--Viv and Larry

I loved Mamie Van Doren in Born Reckless (1958), but I haven't had the chance to catch her in anything else, so I appreciated this quick overview of the still-hopping blonde bombshell--Movie Morlocks/TCM

There was also a link to a fairly recent review with Van Doren in the comments of the Morlocks post. I love this! She's got some great things to say about movies--Alone in the Dark

I still need to check out most of the John DiLeo books mentioned here, but I love 100 Great Film Performances You Should Remember - But Probably Don't. This guy really knows classic movies--
Thrilling Days of Yesteryear
