Forbidden Film Clips

Eerie music and the different visual effects caused by disintegrating film stock give this short film a beautiful surreal feel. It is a fascinating collection of clips from early films (judging from the acting style, I think they were all silent) that were apparently censored locally. According to the description on YouTube, it was created for the 72 Hour Film Festival in Frederick, Maryland. They are clips from a reel of 35mm nitrate found in an old Pennsylvania theater. The reel is now in the possession of the Library of Congress.
