Bette Davis: The Sitcom Star Who Never Was

I can’t believe I just learned about this. Bette Davis filmed a television pilot for a very young Aaron Spelling in the mid-sixties. Called The Decorator (1965) it was a sitcom about an opinionated decorator who insists on living with her clients while she redesigns their homes. Bette Davis’ personality is almost too big for television comedy, but it works, and a lot of the comedy has aged well. What a shame that this is the only episode!
